Procurement Professional

About the role

The Procurement Professional will act as a subject‑matter expert advising Saudi Telecom Company (STC) on the acquisition of materials and services across its operations. The role involves shaping sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with corporate procurement policies.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with business units to develop and implement best‑practice procurement, category management, and supplier management processes.
• Define sourcing strategies and set agendas with sector stakeholders.
• Compile and analyse statistical data to assess feasibility of purchases and establish price objectives.
• Support procurement activities for technical projects (Core, Access, Infrastructure, OSP, Technical Solutions) and non‑technical projects (Marketing, Materials, Facilities).
• Identify and implement procurement synergies across subsidiaries.
• Develop purchasing requirements and project specifications with sector management and suppliers.
• Monitor supply‑market trends, including competitive pressures and new entrants.
• Advise on price trends, negotiate with suppliers to achieve lowest cost while maintaining quality and schedule.
• Prepare RFPs, review proposals, negotiate prices, and recommend suppliers.
• Establish strategic service agreements to improve efficiency.
• Leverage contractual terms to maximise impact and return.
• Support SLA management for change orders and tendered/non‑tendered contracts.
• Guide stakeholders on appropriate procurement processes and opportunities.
• Build and maintain vendor databases for timely utilisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience advising on procurement of materials and services in a large‑scale organisation.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing strategy development, category management, and supplier market analysis.
• Ability to negotiate contracts, prepare RFPs, and manage supplier relationships.
• Experience supporting both technical and commercial projects.
• Capability to identify procurement synergies and drive implementation across business units.
