Procurement Specialist I

About the role

Under close supervision, the Procurement Specialist I purchases supplies and services from vendors at the lowest cost while adhering to company standards and specifications. This role supports large‑scale infrastructure, rail, transportation, and construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue request for proposals (RFPs) for required goods and services.
• Analyze received quotes, evaluate vendors, and select the most suitable suppliers.
• Schedule and expedite deliveries to ensure timely project progress.
• Track and follow up on invoices to guarantee accurate payment processing.
• Maintain procurement records and support contract administration activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Typically 10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, and contract administration.
• Experience working on large‑scale infrastructure, rail, transportation, construction, or engineering projects.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS, MCIPS, or PMP are highly desirable.
