Product Engineer II – Web

About the role

Tamara is looking for a Product Engineer II – Web to design, build, and maintain sophisticated backend APIs that power its fintech super‑app. You will work in an Agile environment, collaborating with frontend, mobile, and QA teams to deliver seamless user experiences for millions of customers across the GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Agile ceremonies and ensure Scrum practices are followed within the team.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Partner with frontend, mobile, and QA engineers to integrate and test end‑to‑end functionality.
• Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and improve architecture.
• Automate testing and deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools.
• Contribute to Frontend Chapter meetings, sharing best practices and staying current with technology trends.

Required profile

• Proven experience building complex backend systems for high‑traffic applications.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to mentor team members throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional engineering teams.
