Product Owner – IT Business Liaison

About the role

The Product Owner serves as the primary bridge between business units and the IT department, ensuring technology solutions align with strategic objectives and operational needs. You will translate business requirements into cost‑effective solutions and guide initiatives through the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision, roadmap, and business process improvements.
• Facilitate early‑stage project scoping, including objectives, high‑level cost/benefit analysis, and requirement gathering.
• Prioritize product backlog items (user stories) based on business value and strategic alignment.
• Lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and sprint reviews.
• Provide clear functional and business rules, acceptance criteria, and support the development team in understanding deliverables.
• Track project progress, risks, and communicate updates to senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Support user acceptance testing and ensure delivered features meet business requirements.

• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize multiple initiatives, and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in stakeholder management and Agile/Scrum environments.
