Project Director – Construction Supervision

About the role

Surbana Jurong is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead construction supervision for major infrastructure projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role involves steering large‑scale initiatives from inception to completion while ensuring alignment with client expectations and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of large‑scale infrastructure projects, overseeing all phases from planning to handover.
• Provide strategic direction to multidisciplinary teams including engineering, construction supervision, commercial and project controls.
• Act as primary client interface, maintaining strong relationships with clients, government authorities, contractors and stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality, safety and contractual requirements.
• Monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee contract administration, commercial management and claims resolution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards and governance requirements.
• Drive project excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Support business development through client engagement and proposal activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 20 + years of experience delivering major infrastructure projects, with extensive construction supervision and leadership experience.
• Proven track record of leading large, complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong experience managing client relationships and senior stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in international consultancy environments and GCC/KSA projects is strongly preferred.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, Chartership or equivalent are advantageous.
