Project Director – Highways and Bridges

About the role

The Project Director will lead multidisciplinary teams on complex highways, bridges and tunnel projects in urban environments, ensuring delivery aligns with budget, schedule and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor project teams, overseeing contractors and sub‑contractors to meet specifications and timelines.
• Develop and execute strategic project plans, manage budgets, resources and procurement.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships, including clients, regulators and contractors.
• Ensure quality, safety and HSE compliance throughout construction.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies, producing regular progress reports.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Engineering Management or related field.
• Chartered membership and PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Over 20 years of total experience, including at least 12 years at director level, primarily as a consultant.
• Extensive experience on road/highway projects; contractor‑only backgrounds not considered.
• Advanced English, strong report writing and communication skills.
