QA-QC Site Inspector (ELV) – Construction Supervision

About the role

The QA‑QC Site Inspector (ELV) ensures that all extra‑low‑voltage and low‑current installations on modular building projects meet approved drawings, specifications and test plans. The role involves daily inspections both off‑site in the factory and on‑site, witnessing hold points, testing and commissioning before work can proceed.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect ELV and low‑current systems daily against approved drawings, technical specifications and the Inspection & Test Plan (ITP).
• Carry out inspections on off‑site modules and on‑site installations covering fire alarm, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, public address, BMS, structured cabling, data and audio‑visual systems.
• Verify that Contractor method statements and ITPs are approved before work begins.
• Run inspection‑readiness checks, witness and clear Material Inspection Requests (MIR) and Work Inspection Requests (WIR) at hold and witness points.
• Inspect cable routing, terminations, labeling, segregation and structured‑cabling testing.
• Witness ELV testing and commissioning, including FAT and SAT, and confirm inter‑module connections.
• Validate calibration certificates for test equipment.
• Raise, log and track Inspection Requests, Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and maintain punch and snag lists.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in electronics, communications, electrical engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 8 years of QA/QC inspection experience on ELV/low‑current systems in building or infrastructure projects.
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification (ISO 9001 Lead Auditor preferred).
• Proven ability to manage inspection‑test plans, hold points and NCR processes.
