QA/QC Instrument Engineer

About the role

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) is looking for a QA/QC Instrument Engineer in Jubail. The role covers technical and supervisory responsibilities for instrumentation works, based on knowledge of international standards and codes related to mechanical works in line with the organization's standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and follow up instrumentation progress, including installation and commissioning of different units
• Plan and control inspections of all instrumentation works and related activities
• Monitor the final inspection of completed instrumentation works before handover to the client
• Review instrumentation shop drawings, vendor drawings, materials submittals, specifications and calculations for compliance with contract documents
• Implement the SATORP Instrumentation Quality Assurance Plan
• Review as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals and warranties
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, encourage reporting of unsafe acts and conditions, and comply with all SHE procedures before and during work

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
• At least 8 years of experience in oil and gas maintenance
• Strong technical understanding of quality assurance in maintenance jobs
• Well organized and proactive, with excellent communication skills
• Proven leadership skills in large organizations, sound judgment under pressure and problem-solving ability
• Strategic management skills
