QC Engineer (Material) – Road Project

About the role

We are looking for an experienced QC Engineer (Material) to support our road construction project in Riyadh. The role focuses on ensuring that all construction materials meet project specifications and international quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor material quality control activities according to project quality plans and specifications.
• Review and approve material submittals, technical data sheets, certificates, and supplier documentation.
• Inspect incoming materials and verify compliance with approved specifications and contract requirements.
• Coordinate laboratory testing for soils, aggregates, asphalt, concrete, steel, and other materials.
• Evaluate test results, prepare inspection reports, NCRs, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain quality records, test reports, and approvals in line with project requirements.
• Support quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5‑8 years of quality control and material inspection experience on major infrastructure, highway, bridge, or transportation projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials such as asphalt, concrete, aggregates, soil, structural steel, and pavement materials.
• Familiarity with ASTM, AASHTO, BS, EN and other relevant international standards.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken; prior experience in the Middle East, especially Saudi Arabia, is highly preferred.
