QC Inspector - Civil Works

About the role

The QC Inspector - Civil performs inspection and testing of civil construction activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications and applicable codes and standards. The workplace is on site, in the Abis_PS department, and the role requires daily presence at active civil work fronts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on civil works such as earthworks, formwork, rebar and concrete.
• Witness concrete pours, compaction tests and cube/cylinder sampling according to the ITP.
• Verify formwork, rebar placement and dimensions against approved civil drawings.
• Check materials (concrete mix, rebar) against material certificates and specifications.
• Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports where needed.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client and third-party inspectors.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists and daily QC reports, and verify calibration of measuring and test equipment.
• Support punch-list generation, closure verification, and quality documentation for civil handover dossiers.

Required profile

• No supervisory or managerial responsibility, and no financial or budget authority.
• Field-based role with exposure to site and construction conditions.
• May require shift work or extended hours to cover inspection hold points.
