QHSE Director

About the role

We are looking for an accomplished QHSE Director to shape and lead our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental strategy across a diverse portfolio of construction, infrastructure, and landscape projects. The role demands a proactive leader who can embed a culture of operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s QHSE strategy, policies, standards, and management systems.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and international standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• Lead QHSE teams across multiple sites and business units, setting objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Drive a proactive safety culture through coaching, awareness programs, and employee engagement.
• Oversee quality assurance and control processes to meet contractual and technical requirements.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analyses, and corrective actions.
• Conduct internal audits, site inspections, management reviews, and compliance assessments.
• Develop risk management strategies and ensure emergency preparedness across operations.
• Review and approve project‑specific quality plans, HSE plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, regulators, and certification bodies.
• Prepare executive reports and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive QHSE experience in construction, infrastructure, or engineering.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing multi‑site QHSE operations.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi regulations, international management systems, and industry best practices.
• Proven track record leading audits, certifications, and major client compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision‑making abilities.
