QHSE Officer – Facilities Management & Operations

About the role

The QHSE Officer will support the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment standards across facilities management and O&M projects. The role ensures site compliance, conducts inspections, supports audits and drives a proactive safety culture in active project environments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular QHSE inspections, site walks, audits and compliance assessments across FM project sites.
• Monitor implementation of HSE policies, permits, risk assessments and method statements.
• Identify unsafe acts, conditions, quality deficiencies and non‑compliance, and follow up corrective and preventive actions.
• Support investigations of incidents, accidents, near‑misses and non‑conformities, preparing clear reports.
• Maintain QHSE documentation, inspection records, audit reports, training records and compliance tracking systems.
• Facilitate toolbox talks, safety briefings, awareness campaigns and site‑level training sessions.
• Coordinate with operations teams, maintenance personnel, supervisors, subcontractors and client representatives on all QHSE matters.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, company standards, client requirements and project‑specific procedures.
• Support internal and external audits and assist in closing audit findings within agreed timelines.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Quality Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in QHSE/HSE roles within facilities management, integrated facilities management or large‑scale O&M environments.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 are preferred.
