Quality Control Officer

About the role

The Quality Control Officer will support the QC laboratory at Cipla's Saudi site, ensuring timely execution of qualification, validation, and analytical activities while maintaining cGMP and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare URS, SIA, PRA, and GxP documents for procurement of new QC instruments.
• Qualify and validate instruments and equipment according to SOPs and protocols.
• Conduct QC area qualification, temperature mapping, and maintain inspection readiness for SFDA, EU GMP, MHRA, WHO, and PIC/S.
• Prioritize and execute calibration, AMC, and maintenance schedules for all laboratory equipment.
• Generate protocols, reports, chromatographic data, and analytical justifications.
• Support OOS/OOT investigations, root‑cause analysis, CAPA, and regulatory audit responses.
• Train analysts on HPLC/UPLC, GC, UV, FTIR, dissolution, and advanced analytical techniques.

Required profile

• M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry (preferred).
• 8‑10 years of pharmaceutical QC experience, including method validation, transfer, CSV, and stability support.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot non‑routine analytical issues and manage risk assessments.

Required skills

• HPLC, UPLC, GC, UV‑Vis, FTIR, dissolution testing.
• Impurity profiling, forced degradation, stability studies.
• Method validation/verification, method transfer, CSV.
• Instrument calibration, qualification, and validation.
• cGMP, ALCOA++, data integrity, and regulatory compliance (SFDA, EU GMP, MHRA, WHO, PIC/S).
• OOS/OOT investigation, root‑cause analysis, CAPA management.
