Quantity Surveying Team Leader

About the role

The Quantity Surveying Team Leader will support the Quantity Survey Manager in overseeing contracts, claims and commercial procedures across NIT projects. This senior position leads a team of Quantity Surveyors, ensuring accurate payment certifications, variation tracking and cost reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and mentor junior and senior Quantity Surveyors.
• Assign tasks, set priorities and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
• Manage pre‑ and post‑contract quantity surveying activities.
• Prepare, review and finalize client interim and final payment certificates.
• Prepare, review and finalize subcontractor and vendor payment certificates.
• Track variations, change orders and claims, ensuring proper valuation and documentation.
• Support resolution of commercial and contractual disputes.
• Review subcontractor and vendor certificates of payment.
• Prepare periodic commercial, financial and cost reports.
• Coordinate with project management, procurement, engineering and construction teams.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably on infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Strong experience in contracts, variations, claims and cost control.
• Fluent English with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site in challenging or remote environments.
• PMP certification is preferred.
