Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join its construction team in Saudi Arabia. The role involves performing a range of quantity surveying activities on assigned projects or programs, supporting cost estimation and contract documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare material take‑offs from engineering drawings, plans and specifications.
• Review take‑offs prepared by others for completeness and accuracy.
• Develop detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to define project scope.
• Compile Bases of Estimate (BOE) including scope, methodology, pricing, labor, material and equipment rates, assumptions, escalations and parametric comparisons.
• Deliver comprehensive cost estimates that incorporate contract terms and conditions.
• Support ancillary estimating tasks and ensure quality control of estimates.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of experience in quantity surveying or cost estimating.
• Familiarity with standard estimating practices, techniques, processes and company policies.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team on complex construction projects.
