Recycling Lead Engineer – Process

About the role

The Recycling Lead Engineer, Process will provide technical leadership for MAADEN's aluminum recycling operations. You will ensure safe, reliable, and sustainable processing from scrap receipt through melting, alloy preparation, casting, and final product handling, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical activities across the entire recycling chain, including scrap receiving, sorting, de‑coating, melting, alloying, casting, and product packaging.
• Promote a strong safety culture, conduct HAZOP studies, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Identify and implement process optimisation projects to improve metal recovery, furnace efficiency, energy consumption, and waste minimisation.
• Develop and refine scrap blend strategies and sorting philosophies to maximise yield and purity.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and MAADEN’s internal HSE policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aluminium recycling or related high‑temperature metal processes.
• Strong background in health, safety and risk management, including HAZOP and incident investigation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and manage cross‑functional teams.
