Safety Engineer

About the role

The Safety Engineer will oversee work permit activities and ensure compliance with HSE requirements, supporting safe and controlled execution across power generation projects and facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate work permits before activities start.
• Ensure required safety precautions and control measures are implemented.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and contractor teams.
• Monitor compliance with permit conditions and HSE procedures.
• Verify permit validity throughout work activities.
• Ensure proper suspension and closure of permits upon completion.
• Identify unsafe conditions or permit violations and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with power generation safety standards and site requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in safety and work permit activities, preferably in power generation or power plant projects.
• Valid CSCC00 – General Introductory Training in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Valid CSCC06 – Power Plant Safety for Generation Contractors.
• Valid CSCC07 – Generation Work Permit Holder.
