Safety Officer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join KEO International Consultants on the Makkah Project in Riyadh. The role will provide health and safety advice, ensure compliance, and raise safety standards across staff and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce safety standards in line with KEO’s Health and Safety Management System and client requirements.
• Inspect work areas to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure all site personnel wear appropriate personal protective equipment and follow safe operating procedures.
• Conduct daily site inspections and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Investigate accidents, prepare reports, and propose preventive measures.
• Develop and implement safety policies to reduce accident‑related costs.
• Collaborate with managers and workers to refine safety policies.
• Deliver safety training to staff in accordance with OSHA requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in health and safety within construction.
• Bachelor of Science in Health, Safety & Environmental.
• Chartered status with NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent is highly regarded.

Required skills

• OSHA compliance knowledge.
• Risk assessment and hazard identification.
• Incident investigation and reporting.
• Implementation of health and safety management systems.
