Safety Officer (Saudi National) - Oil & Gas

About the role

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) is looking for a Safety Officer (Saudi national) in Rabigh to carry out safety inspections on equipment, tools and working conditions, ensuring the safety of workers engaged in oil and gas facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect safety belts, ladders, ropes, rubber goods and tools, and replace those that do not meet safety requirements.
• Observe crews at work and report lapses in safety precautions, such as failure to use goggles, rubber gloves and other safety devices.
• Examine ditches and tunnels and recommend braces to prevent cave-ins that could endanger workers.
• Investigate accidents to determine their causes and devise preventive measures; may instruct workers on the use of safety equipment and safe work methods.
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and encourage reporting of unsafe acts and conditions.
• Comply with all SHE procedures before work starts and during work.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years' experience in oil and gas maintenance with a high school education.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in oil and gas maintenance with a diploma.
• Strong technical understanding of maintenance jobs related to safety.
• Well organized and proactive, with excellent communication skills.
• Proven leadership skills in large organizations, sound judgment under pressure and problem-solving ability.
• Strategic management skills.
