Sales Engineer – Industrial Maintenance & Repair Solutions

About the role

The Sales Engineer will drive sales and marketing of maintenance, repair, welding consumables and related equipment across an assigned territory. You will identify new business opportunities, expand existing accounts, and deliver technical solutions that meet customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to order collection for industrial consumables and equipment.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess maintenance challenges and propose suitable products.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and product recommendations.
• Organise product demonstrations, application trials, and field evaluations.
• Deliver technical seminars, presentations and training for customers, distributors and internal sales teams.
• Collaborate with distributors, logistics and supply teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate records, sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines and market updates.
• Monitor competitor activity and provide feedback to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Metallurgy, Welding Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 4–5 years of B2B industrial or technical sales experience, preferably in maintenance & repair, welding consumables, hardfacing, wear protection or industrial coatings.
• Experience with heavy‑industry sectors such as cement, mining, steel, power, oil & gas, petrochemical or fabrication is a plus.
