Sales Manager - Hajj and Umrah Markets

About the role

The Sales Manager is based at ibis budget Makkah Al Aziziah, a large-scale Accor hotel in Makkah serving the Hajj and Umrah markets, with 4,502 rooms across 10 towers. The role drives revenue growth, pursues new business and maintains strong relationships with key accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve the hotel's sales targets
• Pursue new business in Hajj and Umrah markets, corporate accounts, travel agencies, tour operators and group bookings
• Negotiate contracts in line with approved rate policies, with the Director of Sales & Marketing, and ensure special rates are approved by management
• Collaborate with Revenue Management, Reservations, Front Office, Finance and Operations
• Monitor market trends and competitors, and develop business during peak periods such as Hajj, Ramadan and Umrah
• Maintain accurate sales records and submit regular sales reports, forecasts and business plans
• Represent the hotel at industry events and trade exhibitions, and act as main contact for assigned clients
• Ensure compliance with Accor brand standards, safety and security requirements, and perform other duties assigned by management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
• At least 5 years of sales experience, preferably in hospitality
• Strong network of contacts in the GCC region
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
• Saudi nationals only; able to work in Makkah and support the Hajj and Umrah business
