Section Manager – General Insurance (Facility)

About the role

The Section Manager for General Insurance – Facility will ensure that the company's insurance programmes fully cover its operational risks and comply with policy terms, insurer recommendations and risk‑assessment guidance. The role safeguards against coverage gaps and claim denials while supporting business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Review and monitor insurance coverage adequacy against operational risks, limits, deductibles and exclusions.
• Verify compliance with policy terms, warranties and operational obligations, maintaining a structured register.
• Follow up on insurers’ and risk‑assessment firms’ recommendations, classify them by severity and coordinate implementation or alternatives.
• Maintain and update the Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the Head Office.
• Prepare periodic and ad‑hoc reports on insurance gaps, risks and compliance status.
• Issue alerts for any non‑compliance that could affect claim validity.
• Lead HR functions for the section, including recruitment, performance management and delegation of authority.
• Take full responsibility for the section’s deliverables, anticipate problems and make timely decisions.
• Translate corporate goals into actionable business plans, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
