Security Officer – Facility & Asset Protection

About the role

The Security Officer ensures a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, contractors, and company assets. This role monitors security operations, enforces procedures, and responds to incidents to maintain compliance with relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor access control systems, CCTV cameras, alarms and other security equipment.
• Conduct regular patrols of facilities, yards, warehouses, offices and surrounding areas.
• Control entry and exit of personnel and vehicles, verifying identification and authorization.
• Prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism and other security breaches.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, alarms and disturbances.
• Investigate security breaches, prepare detailed incident reports and coordinate with law‑enforcement or emergency services when required.
• Support compliance with security policies, legal requirements and emergency evacuation procedures.
• Protect company property, equipment, inventory and confidential information.
• Maintain daily security logs, visitor records and shift reports.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent; diploma or bachelor's degree is an advantage.
• Security certification or relevant training preferred; valid security license where applicable.
• 2‑3 years of experience in security operations, facility security, logistics, industrial sites or similar environments.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays and remain calm during emergencies.
• Good report writing and communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).

Required skills

• Knowledge of security procedures and access control systems.
