Senior Accountant – Accounts Payable

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable function. You will ensure accurate, timely processing of supplier invoices, maintain strong internal controls, and support month‑end closing activities while managing vendor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounts payable operations and guarantee on‑time invoice processing.
• Control three‑way matching between purchase orders, goods receipts, and supplier invoices.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies with Procurement, Warehouse and other departments.
• Manage month‑end closing tasks, including accruals, reconciliations and clearing outstanding items.
• Prepare vendor payment plans based on due dates, approvals and cash‑flow requirements.
• Maintain supplier relationships, handle payment inquiries and escalations.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve differences.
• Review foreign‑currency transactions and apply correct exchange‑rate accounting.
• Monitor AP aging, identify overdue risks and prepare periodic reports for management.
• Support internal and external audits and guide junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG or food industry.
• Strong knowledge of three‑way matching, accruals, reconciliations and VAT regulations.
• Proven ability to work with ERP systems and financial software.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
