Senior Accountant

About the role

ASBIS is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting and maintain compliance with Saudi regulations. The role supports business operations through strong financial controls and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting and month‑end / year‑end closing in line with IFRS and KSA regulations.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Process invoices, control expenses, handle payroll accounting, VAT, Zakat and other tax reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi tax laws, ZATCA filings and audit requirements.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory accounting and fixed assets.
• Maintain robust internal controls and support internal and external audits.
• Coordinate with banks, auditors, tax consultants and government authorities.
• Support Saudization (Nitaqat) compliance where applicable.
• Assist in process improvements, automation and financial system enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional qualification (SOCPA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) preferred.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in international distribution, FMCG or trading.
• Strong knowledge of KSA accounting standards, VAT, Zakat and statutory requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with ZATCA filings, audits and regulatory reporting.
