Senior Civil Engineer – Building Inspection (BLS)

About the role

TUV SUD is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead inspection and testing of buildings across Saudi Arabia, ensuring compliance with Saudi building codes and international standards. You will act as a third‑party quality specialist, delivering accurate reports and certifications for a range of construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and test buildings according to Saudi building codes and international standards.
• Issue detailed reports, documentation, and certificates in line with TUV SUD procedures.
• Review design documents, assess existing structures, and resolve construction‑related issues.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Handle escalated client complaints and ensure timely, safe project delivery.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry best practices, new technologies, and code changes.
• Follow TUV SUD safety policies, use required PPE, and operate digital tools such as BLS‑Plan radar.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in civil and structural works, including foundations, concrete, steel structures, and finishing.
• Proven experience in site inspection, supervision, and quality control.
• Ability to prepare detailed technical reports and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and site safety practices.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
