Senior Civil / Structural Engineer (Onshore)

About the role

Penspen is seeking an experienced Senior Civil / Structural Engineer to provide technical oversight for onshore oil and gas facilities in Khafji, Saudi Arabia. The role involves ensuring that all structural designs meet project specifications, applicable codes, and seismic requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate EPC contractor deliverables, including structural design calculations, general arrangement drawings, steel and concrete detailing, and foundation design packages.
• Verify compliance with relevant codes such as ACI, AISC, ASCE, and API.
• Assess structural integrity, constructability, and seismic compliance of facilities.
• Participate in design, model, and value‑engineering reviews.
• Support project management during procurement and construction by reviewing material submittals and structural method statements.
• Monitor EPC contractor performance to ensure schedule adherence and quality of deliverables.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of professional experience, with at least 6 years in civil/structural engineering for major onshore oil, gas or petrochemical projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proven ability to work on complex, large‑scale infrastructure projects.
