Senior Cost Control

About the role

The Senior Cost Control professional will lead the planning, monitoring and analysis of project costs to ensure delivery within approved budgets. Working closely with project teams, finance, procurement and senior management, you will provide accurate cost forecasts, variance analysis and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Contracts Manager in establishing project cash flow and budgets.
• Control project expenses and revenue, monitor deviations between budgeted and actual figures.
• Add overhead and financial expenses to cash flow based on accounting reports.
• Track profitability of each project and consolidate cash‑flow statements across all projects.
• Estimate receivables and payables, compute rework costs and prepare quarterly and yearly reports for the Ministry of Finance.
• Plan, implement and manage the Accounting department, propose automation or procedural improvements, and oversee company cash‑flow management.
• Control preparation of accounting and financial reports, negotiate client contracts (excluding technical details), and conduct internal audits to ensure ISO 9001‑2015 compliance.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing, handle receivables/payables, prepare journal vouchers, salaries, taxes and VAT analysis, and liaise with internal and external auditors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cost control, budgeting and cash‑flow management within engineering or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles and ISO 9001‑2015 standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders.
