Senior Director, Investment Analysis – Real Estate

About the role

The Senior Director, Investment Analysis leads the investment analysis and underwriting function for a diversified real estate portfolio. This senior position evaluates acquisitions, joint ventures, development projects and strategic initiatives, providing robust financial, commercial and market insights to support capital allocation and long‑term value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead evaluation of investment opportunities across residential, commercial, mixed‑use, hospitality and land development sectors.
• Oversee preparation and review of complex financial models, valuation analyses (DCF, NPV, IRR, ROI, sensitivity and scenario analysis) and investment cases.
• Assess acquisitions, dispositions, partnerships and joint‑venture opportunities and develop recommendation memoranda.
• Direct development and enhancement of sophisticated financial models and feasibility studies for development projects.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis and commercial assessments to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Monitor portfolio performance, identify optimization opportunities and support capital allocation decisions.
• Prepare investment memoranda, business cases and executive presentations for senior leadership and governance committees.
• Identify and assess financial, commercial, operational and market risks, and develop mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading investment analysis and underwriting for real‑estate portfolios.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation expertise.
• Ability to synthesize complex data into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to investment committees.
