Senior General Accountant

About the role

An industrial company in Jubail is seeking a Senior General Accountant to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, and maintain compliance with Saudi accounting and tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general accounting functions, prepare journal entries, ledger reconciliations and financial statements.
• Execute monthly and annual closing activities, prepare VAT returns and support Zakat and tax filings.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and payroll entry reviews.
• Coordinate with external auditors, prepare audit documentation and support Local Content Certificate requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in industrial/manufacturing.
• SOCPA membership is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Fluent English communication, strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi accounting standards.
• Expertise in VAT, Zakat, ZATCA compliance and electronic invoicing.
• Proficiency with ERP accounting systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
