Senior Hardware QA & Installation Support Engineer

About the role

PerfectVision delivers connected telematics and fleet solutions across Saudi Arabia. As a Senior Hardware QA & Installation Support Engineer you will act as the technical gatekeeper for every device that leaves the factory, ensuring it meets functional, quality and reliability standards before field deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Validate telematics devices (GPS/GNSS trackers, OBD/CAN units, dash‑cams, sensors) against performance and reliability requirements.
• Define and execute incoming inspection and acceptance testing, including sampling plans, test procedures and pass/fail criteria.
• Assess component and build quality – solder joints, connectors, enclosures, wiring harnesses, SIM and antenna integration.
• Verify end‑to‑end functionality: power‑up, GNSS fix, cellular connectivity (2G/4G/LTE‑M/NB‑IoT), CAN/OBD‑II data, I/O behaviour and platform reporting.
• Benchmark competing products, produce evaluation reports and recommend selections.
• Maintain quality records, defect logs and scorecards; drive corrective actions and manage RMA/warranty claims.
• Provide technical guidance and training to installation teams, including wiring diagrams, mounting best practices and acceptance checks.
• Support field escalations, diagnose returned or faulty units and feed findings back into product improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience in hardware quality assurance, testing or field support.
• Strong understanding of telematics hardware, GNSS, OBD‑II/CAN protocols and cellular modem technologies.
• Proven ability to develop test procedures, interpret results and drive corrective actions.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
