Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

The Senior Internal Auditor is responsible for executing the annual internal audit plan, delivering high‑quality fieldwork, and supporting the Internal Audit Manager in leading audit engagements. This role combines strong technical auditing expertise with proactive risk identification to protect the organization’s assets.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in risk assessments and help develop a dynamic, risk‑based internal audit plan.
• Act as a team member on assigned engagements, delivering timely and accurate fieldwork.
• Prepare engagement planning documents and assist with reporting.
• Update the Lead Auditor on progress, raise significant findings, and coordinate file reviews.
• Engage with the Quality Team to obtain in‑flight quality advice and address QAIP feedback.
• Supervise and coach junior team members and trainees during engagements.
• Build relationships across the company and subsidiaries to share knowledge and improve audit practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in internal audit or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• Working towards or holding a recognized certification such as CIA.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with business process owners.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of risk assessment frameworks and control identification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with audit tools and software.
