Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

The Senior Internal Auditor will execute the annual internal audit plan, performing audits, supporting the Audit Manager, and helping to identify and mitigate organisational risks. This role requires strong technical auditing skills and a proactive approach to risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in risk assessments to develop a dynamic, risk‑based audit plan.
• Conduct high‑quality fieldwork independently on assigned audit areas.
• Prepare engagement planning and reporting elements and keep the Audit Manager updated on progress.
• Coordinate review of audit files, address significant findings promptly, and implement corrective actions.
• Engage with the Quality Team to obtain in‑flight quality advice and address QAIP feedback.
• Supervise and coach junior team members and trainees during engagements.
• Develop relationships across the company and subsidiaries to share knowledge and improve audit practices.
• Challenge peers constructively to optimise the internal audit function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in internal audit or a related discipline.
• Working towards or holding a recognized certification such as CIA.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with business process owners.

Required skills

• Knowledge of risk assessment frameworks and control identification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with audit tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
