Senior Lead – Data Center & Passive Design

About the role

Qiddiya Investment Company is looking for a Senior Lead to drive the design and implementation of data centre architectures and passive systems such as HVAC, electrical and structural components across its flagship entertainment and cultural projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of data centre (DC) architectures, ensuring reliability, scalability and efficiency.
• Oversee passive system design, including HVAC, electrical and structural elements, aligned with project goals and industry standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative, sustainable design solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to guide design decisions.
• Establish and maintain design protocols and standards for quality and consistency.
• Monitor project progress, budgets and timelines to meet deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers, fostering continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on technological advances and industry trends to drive innovation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data centre design and passive systems engineering.
• Proven track record of managing complex design projects from concept to completion.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and project‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of data centre architecture and passive design principles.
• Familiarity with sustainability standards (e.g., LEED).
• Professional certifications preferred: PMP, RCDD.
