Senior Manager Innovation Governance

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Innovation Governance to embed innovation across a leading Saudi Arabian bank. The role will design and maintain governance frameworks that align emerging technologies with the bank’s strategy, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a bank‑wide Innovation Governance Framework and operating standards.
• Embed innovation objectives into business strategies, policies, procedures, and operating models.
• Represent innovation in Risk, Compliance, Legal, Procurement, Finance, HR, and Technology functions.
• Lead executive reporting, committee submissions, governance forums, and management information related to innovation.
• Ensure innovation initiatives comply with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and corporate governance.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration and promote adoption of innovation governance practices.
• Oversee governance documentation, policies, procedures, and operating standards to keep them current and compliant.
• Facilitate the Innovation Acceleration Forum and support initiatives that improve time‑to‑market.
• Partner with stakeholders on emerging areas such as AI, open banking, digital assets, and experimentation.
• Monitor governance effectiveness, track innovation initiatives and benefits, and identify continuous‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Innovation Governance Manager within a large bank or established financial institution.
• Experience building enterprise‑wide governance frameworks and policies.
• Direct experience working with regulators on governance and policy matters.
• Strong understanding of Open Banking, Open Finance, FinTech and Virtual Assets.
• Demonstrated ability to develop policies, procedures and operating standards from the ground up.
