Senior Manager, Risk Model and Hazard Log

About the role

Mace is seeking a Senior Manager to lead functional safety, hazard management and railway risk modelling across a large mixed‑use development in Saudi Arabia. The role will work with multidisciplinary teams and supply‑chain partners to maintain a portfolio‑wide risk position, support regulatory compliance and enable safe transition of transport assets from design through operation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement hazard and risk management strategies, plans, processes and tools aligned with safety objectives.
• Define safety targets, maintain traceable hazard records and report verification and validation evidence.
• Ensure system safety risks are reduced to ALARP and review supplier hazard records for ownership and control.
• Own risk records, models and reporting, maintaining visibility of residual risks and securing authority acceptance.
• Align safety activities with project schedules and standards such as ISO 15288, EN 50126/29 and EN 50716.
• Provide progress reporting to the Director of Safety Assurance and support safety certification and regulatory approvals.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in risk modelling, functional safety or hazard management within large infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to lead integrated teams and interact with regulatory bodies.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in ALARP assessments and safety case development.
