Senior MES Developer

About the role

The Senior MES Developer will join a dedicated team to design, implement and support a Manufacturing Execution System for a greenfield digital factory. Reporting to the MES Manager, the role combines hands‑on development with close collaboration across IT and production stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse MES requirements, design system architecture and produce technical documentation.
• Develop, test, deploy and train users on MES functionality using best‑practice coding standards.
• Lead code reviews, debugging sessions and suggest improvements to existing standards.
• Document business processes and model industrial automation architecture.
• Design and validate interfaces between shop‑floor systems and enterprise applications such as ERP and PLM.
• Ensure MES developments comply with information‑security policies.
• Collaborate with IT Infrastructure and other application teams for smooth implementation and incident handling.
• Provide Level 2‑3 support to resolve MES incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in Computer Science, manufacturing automation or a related technical field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience developing production automation systems.
• Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle.
• Hands‑on experience with Angular JS, C# and Microsoft SQL.
• Ability to model, explain and document industrial automation architectures.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience with Siemens Opcenter and/or Teamcenter is an advantage.
