Senior Paralegal

About the role

The Senior Paralegal will support the Governance and Legal functions of a venture‑capital focused organization. Reporting to the supervising attorney, you will act as a subject‑matter expert on contractual, regulatory and board‑governance matters across the investment lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate legal due‑diligence for prospective investee companies and manage KYC and background‑check processes.
• Review, revise and advise on standard transactional documents, shareholder resolutions and board materials.
• Respond to regulatory and audit inquiries as directed by the supervising attorney.
• Conduct advanced factual and basic legal research to support investment decisions.
• Participate in VC team meetings, providing expertise on legal, contractual, jurisdictional and structural issues.
• Prepare and maintain board and committee calendars, agendas, minutes and follow‑up actions.
• Organise governance and regulatory training for portfolio company founders and boards.
• Ensure compliance of portfolio companies with signed agreements and highlight any non‑compliance.

Required profile

• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
• Several years of experience in corporate law, venture‑capital or investment‑focused legal environments.
• Proven ability to manage complex KYC, due‑diligence and governance processes.
• Strong analytical skills with experience preparing board and committee documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
