Senior Payments Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a highly detail‑oriented Senior Payments Accountant to manage and review payment operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficient cash‑flow for our Riyadh office.

Key responsibilities

• Review invoices and supporting documents to ensure completeness and compliance with contracts and financial policies.
• Prepare and review payment orders, verifying financial data accuracy before approval.
• Process supplier and vendor payments, monitoring due dates for timely settlement.
• Record all payment transactions in the financial system with correct accounting entries.
• Review operating and capital expenditures, ensuring proper classification to cost centers.
• Prepare and reconcile accounts payable, monitor open balances and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with treasury to confirm sufficient liquidity before executing payments.
• Monitor advance payments and pending settlements for timely closure.
• Prepare periodic payment reports, including overdue analysis and improvement recommendations.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve payment inquiries and claims.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities through payment schedules and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and contribute to process efficiency.
• Participate in automation and enhancement of accounts payable processes.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Solid understanding of payment operations, accounts payable and treasury coordination.
• Experience supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Ability to analyze discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Strong communication skills for vendor interaction.
