Senior Power Engineer

About the role

Acwa Operations is seeking a Senior Power Engineer to lead the safe, efficient and reliable operation of power generation assets within the Red Sea Utilities Multi‑Utilities Project. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role will support the delivery of a 340 MWac solar PV plant, large‑scale battery storage, and associated water and waste utilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the safe, efficient and reliable operation of power generation systems.
• Oversee performance of transformers, switchgear, SCADA, and protection auxiliaries.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and LOTO procedures.
• Coordinate incident response and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of relevant experience in power plant operations.
• Senior‑level expertise with a proven track record in utility‑scale projects.
• Ability to work on‑site within Saudi Arabia and report to the Operations Manager.
