Senior Procurement Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

Our client, a leading international contractor in Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to join its Riyadh team. You will play a pivotal role in driving the procurement and commercial success of large‑scale construction projects, including data centres, mission‑critical facilities, and industrial buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement of subcontract packages across major construction projects.
• Develop procurement strategies aligned with project delivery programmes and commercial objectives.
• Manage the full procurement cycle from market engagement and tendering to negotiation and award.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors throughout Saudi Arabia.
• Collaborate with engineering, commercial and project teams to ensure procurement supports successful delivery.
• Identify procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Evaluate tenders, negotiate commercial terms and make award recommendations.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and market trends.
• Mentor and support junior procurement professionals as needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• At least 10 years of procurement experience within a leading construction contractor.
• Proven track record procuring subcontract packages for large‑scale projects.
• Experience with data centre or other technically complex projects is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of the Saudi Arabian subcontracting market and established relationships across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical trades.
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Saudi Arabia is highly advantageous.
