Senior Product Specialist – Rare Diseases (Riyadh)

About the role

AstraZeneca is expanding its rare disease portfolio in Saudi Arabia and seeks a Senior Product Specialist to drive clinical demand for its rare disease medicines. Based in Riyadh, you will work closely with the commercial team to identify opportunities, engage healthcare professionals and support patients in accessing life‑changing therapies.

Key responsibilities

• Generate clinical demand for rare disease medicines among healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key external experts.
• Identify new patient targets and present value propositions to drive therapy adoption.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with HCPs, key opinion leaders and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Sales Manager to adapt and execute AZ’s account‑management strategy for the local market.
• Provide scientific and product expertise to support commercial activities and address unmet medical needs.

Required profile

• Strong scientific background and deep understanding of rare diseases and associated therapies.
• Proven experience in a commercial or product specialist role within the pharmaceutical/biotech sector.
• Ability to engage and influence healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Full‑time availability and willingness to work on‑site in Riyadh.
