Senior Registrar – Internal Medicine (Makkah)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Registrar in Internal Medicine to join our team at NMC Hospitals and Clinics in Makkah. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality patient care, adhere to evidence‑based medicine and uphold the standards of CBAHI and JCIA.

Key responsibilities

• Take comprehensive histories, perform physical examinations and interpret routine diagnostic tests.
• Admit patients from the ER and OPD, develop investigation plans and coordinate management with consultants as required.
• Conduct daily ward rounds, document management plans and ensure accurate, timely medical records.
• Prepare discharge summaries, death reports and special reports when needed.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, respond to emergencies and provide care in outpatient settings.
• Assist senior consultants with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and supervise junior staff.
• Engage in departmental education, training activities and rotate through specialized units such as ICU, CCU and Hemodialysis under supervision.

Required profile

• Medical degree with a valid Saudi medical license.
• Board‑certified or equivalent experience in Internal Medicine.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong commitment to patient safety, professional ethics and continuous quality improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency in history‑taking, physical examination and interpretation of common diagnostic tests.
• Familiarity with CBAHI and JCIA accreditation standards.
• Effective documentation and record‑keeping skills.
