Senior Roads Engineer – Full-time (Riyadh)

About the role

ARX, a global engineering network, is expanding its presence in the GCC and seeks a Senior Roads Engineer for its Riyadh office. The role involves leading the design and planning of road and highway projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with local standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and oversee road and highway layouts for diverse infrastructure projects.
• Perform and review road geometry, horizontal and vertical alignment, grading, and pavement design.
• Ensure all designs meet Saudi Arabian regulations, standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to integrate road systems into overall project designs.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, plans and documentation.
• Review technical deliverables from engineers, designers and BIM/CAD teams.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Liaise with government authorities, clients and stakeholders to satisfy project requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure projects with a focus on roads and highways.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of road and highway systems and local regulations.
