Senior Saudi Accountant (Tax, Audit & Local Content)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on managing daily accounting operations, ensuring tax compliance, supporting external audits, and handling Local Content certification requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting and financial reporting activities.
• Coordinate with external auditors, prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Manage VAT, WHT, Zakat and other tax filings with ZATCA.
• Liaise with local banks on financing facilities, guarantees, letters of credit, account maintenance and compliance.
• Prepare and renew Local Content Certificates and related disclosures.
• Work with external consultants and government authorities on regulatory matters.
• Review contracts, invoices and financial documents for compliance.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure company adherence.
• Assist management with financial analysis and business planning.

Required profile

• Saudi national with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, trading or project‑based companies.
• Proven experience dealing with ZATCA, external auditors and local banks.
• Experience preparing Local Content Certificates.
• Fluent Arabic and basic to intermediate English communication skills.
• Strong understanding of Saudi tax regulations and financial reporting standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting ERP systems commonly used in Saudi Arabia.
