Senior Site Engineer

About the role

The Senior Site Engineer will lead on‑site operations for large‑scale construction projects, ensuring work is executed to plan, on schedule and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate with project managers, architects, contractors and subcontractors while mentoring junior engineers and maintaining strict safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities and ensure progress aligns with the project schedule.
• Provide technical guidance, resolve engineering discrepancies, and oversee quality control.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and construction crews, promoting safety and performance.
• Manage resources, including labor, materials and equipment, for efficient site operations.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, contractors and subcontractors to align work with specifications.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, briefings and enforce health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Track project costs, monitor budget, and support cost‑control initiatives.
• Prepare and deliver progress reports, highlighting schedule updates, challenges and milestones.
• Identify potential delays early and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure contractual compliance.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of site activities, material usage and plan changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 10+ years of construction site management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
• Proven track record managing large commercial, residential or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes and best practices.
• Excellent understanding of safety standards and quality assurance processes.
