Senior Software Engineer, DevOps (Azure)

About the role

This senior-level position focuses on designing, building, and operating secure, scalable Azure cloud environments for a globally distributed engineering team. The role is fully remote and based in Saudi Arabia, offering the chance to shape cloud infrastructure strategy and support production‑critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain production‑grade Azure infrastructure using Bicep as Infrastructure as Code.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps YAML, integrating automated testing and secure delivery workflows.
• Operate, tune and scale Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, including Helm‑based deployments and networking configurations.
• Manage Azure API Management, App Gateway and Front Door for high‑performance application delivery.
• Support event‑driven architectures using Azure Event Hubs and Kafka integration.
• Own production reliability through monitoring (Azure Monitor, Application Insights), incident response and root‑cause analysis.
• Enforce cloud security best practices with Azure Entra ID, RBAC, Key Vault, Azure Policy and container security controls.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve DevOps maturity, Git workflows and cloud‑native practices.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE or Cloud Engineering within Microsoft Azure.
• Proven hands‑on expertise with core Azure services (VNets, NSGs, load balancers, storage).
• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or equivalent.
• Deep production experience with AKS, including scaling and networking.
• Solid knowledge of Azure APIM, App Gateway, Event Hubs and security controls.
