Senior Specialist, Accountant

About the role

The Senior Specialist, Accountant will lead and execute accounting and financial activities for Sapphire’s industrial robotics business in Riyadh. The role combines transactional work with analysis, budgeting, and guidance of junior accountants to ensure accurate, compliant financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑the‑job training, coaching and feedback to junior accountants and organise team activities.
• Prepare annual budgets, quarterly management accounts and ad‑hoc reports; monitor performance versus budget and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain the general ledger, perform account reconciliations, manage journal vouchers and oversee fixed‑asset accounting.
• Verify and process invoices, cash calls, disbursements and advance payments in line with contractual terms.
• Prepare ageing reports, track collections and communicate status to operations.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and applicable international accounting standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior accounting roles with responsibility for budgeting and financial planning.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management, account reconciliations and fixed‑asset accounting.
• Ability to guide and develop junior accounting staff.
• Familiarity with local Saudi accounting regulations and international standards.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and compliance.
