Senior Staff Cyber Security Engineer (Riyadh)

About the role

Qualcomm is seeking a Senior Staff Cyber Security Engineer to join its Riyadh team. You will collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders to protect complex infrastructure and applications, applying deep expertise in cryptography, key management, and secure architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical security for large datacenter and sovereign AI deployments, focusing on cryptography, key management, and secure architecture.
• Design, implement, and operationalize Infrastructure Identity & PKI, including mTLS, certificate lifecycle management, and secure private‑key handling using a KMS.
• Own perimeter security architecture and manage next‑generation firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet) to enforce security policies.
• Produce detailed runbooks for operations and support senior leadership interactions.

Required profile

• 10+ years of cybersecurity‑relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 1 year in a technical leadership role, with exposure to senior leadership (Director level or above).
• Fluency in Arabic.

Required skills

• Programming languages: C, C++, Java, Python.
• Cryptography and key management.
• PKI, mTLS, and KMS implementation.
• Perimeter security architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications.
