Service Advisor – After‑sales (Automotive)

About the role

The Service Advisor is the primary customer touchpoint in the after‑sales journey, responsible for managing the vehicle from reception through to final delivery. The role blends technical understanding of automotive repairs with commercial awareness to drive workshop profitability and customer loyalty.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, capture vehicle concerns accurately, and conduct a complete walk‑around inspection.
• Prepare detailed Repair Orders with clear job descriptions, transparent estimates, and obtain customer approvals.
• Identify additional repair needs proactively and recommend value‑added services aligned with OEM intervals.
• Coordinate closely with workshop supervisors, technicians, parts, and warranty teams to monitor repair progress and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain proactive communication with customers regarding progress, delays, revised estimates, and final delivery scheduling.
• Monitor work‑in‑progress to avoid unnecessary delays or aging repair orders.
• Achieve monthly targets for labour sales, parts revenue, and value‑added services.

Required profile

• Strong technical understanding of automotive service processes.
• Commercial awareness and ability to drive revenue through value‑added sales.
• Excellent customer relationship and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively between customers, workshop staff, parts, and warranty teams.
